Biography
Miho Kitamoto Painter / Contemporary artist
Born 17 July in Hokkaido / Lives and works in Tokyo
MFA in Oil Painting, Tama Art University / BA in Oil Painting, Tama Art University
Assistant teacher at Hokkaido Institute of Art and Design / Lecturer in oil painting at Hokkaido Institute of Art and Design, Tokyo University of the Arts Special Course / Lecturer at Miyanomori Art Club

Miho Kitamoto is interested in the journey through time in history (mainly in art history), the detailed events of the time and the relationship between people and information that cannot actually be held in the hand, such as letters, numbers, spiritual worlds and personal identity, and she rules out taking inspiration from actually existing objects and land. The sense of time flowing from the material that appears before his eyes continues to drive Kitamoto.
While focusing on painting, he also pursues intuition, sensitivity and fantasy through photography, video and installations, and conducts production and research. The medium is chosen on a case-by-case basis.
